My new goal is to try every recipe in the book, except the ones that just seem yucky, but those are yet to determined. I am going to start a list of the ones I've made so far, so I can keep track.

Here goes:
Breakfast potatoes
Breakfast burritos
Egg in a hole
Lemon blueberry pancakes
Fried mozzarella
Burgundy mushrooms
Beef stew
Beef and bean burritos
Drip beef

More to come ;)
It's hard enough sending Jeffery to school, but now my baby, too!
I have already cried and hyperventilated a ton already. What will I do when the day arrives?

It will be so hard for me watching that little body walk into such a big school, and leaving him. I want him to be treated by everyone the way mommy treats him!

I do know that he looks forward to it. And I do know that I will rely on prayer and lots of tissues.
So, until this day comes my focus is to not think of it ( I'll try) and enjoy every waking moment with my boys, not like I don't already.

Aw puke. It is only a four day long deal, and we are doing another fundraiser for the playground, so my first thought was "well, we will just let this one slide". It came as a little box that you can fold and it makes a coin bank. I folded it last night and just had it sitting on the kitchen counter. Jeff was reading all the facts it has about the foundation on the box to me as I cleaned the kitchen. Then he marveled that the money had helped the baby that was pictured on the side.

This morning I was prodding him along, getting him ready for school. I told him it was time to go brush his teeth. He walked toward the back and was right back in the kitchen. I noticed that he was trying to shove a five dollar bill into the box, and was having trouble because the slot is for coins. I applauded him on how generous he was being, as I helped him fold the bill smaller. When i grabbed the money from him, it had two five dollar bills together. I said, "Oh buddy, you have two here. Take this one back and I will put in five, just like you." I left to get my five and he had gone on to brush his teeth.

As I was helping him get on his shoes, he told me that he had 15 dollars in his box. I corrected him and said no we just have ten, you put five and I put five. He said, "No, I put in my other five, too."

I was taken aback. I praised him again at how awesome he was and generous, but I told him, if he wanted to take back his other five he could. He told me, that it was okay, because he had plenty more money in his wallet.

My first thought was to not even do this fundraiser, and then when I gave my five it was only because Jeffery had done it first. He gave so freely, without any hesitancy. He was a cheerful giver. Proud can not even begin to describe how I felt of him at that moment. I left the room and cried. I can learn so much from him. I need to humble myself, as my little child.

My prayer for him, is that he always keeps his generous heart.Beccahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10264427484677280686noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1649229382546627198.post-6004080702144628212012-03-02T15:28:00.001-06:002012-03-02T15:32:36.941-06:00Mouse in a bucketYesterday I found this little jewel in a five gallon bucket out in our shed.

I was grabbing a shovel and bucket for our trip to the park and saw something in there at glance. When I leaned over to get a better look, the little bugger jumped, trying to get out. I flipped out and then called for Cane to come look. It was quite the excitement.

I wasn't about to mess with it, and it couldn't get out, so we just let it chill in the bucket all day and wait for its demise when Levi got home.

The boys were a little upset when Levi went out there, so as far as they know, the little guy is roaming free in the field.
( I felt kind of sad too, but not enough to beg for its life :))

Levi is my hero. So brave. And not scared of mice :)
And this one was amazing. And this one will be made over and over again.

Sweet little Jeffery suggested that we should start having Taco Tuesday a while back. I was excited to have this little tradition for our family and we have done it kind of hit and miss because I don't always remember :( We normally just do the regular taco thing with all the fixings, but this recipe seemed to be so much simpler, and so much better tasting!

And of course, I will include the recipe. And I am now realizing I should have snapped a pic. The original recipe is huge and will make 18-20 tacos, so I halved it. Sort of. I will write the original and then side note what I did differently.

OVEN BAKED TACOS

2 lbs. ground beef
1 can refried beans
1 8oz can of tomato sauce
1 packet of taco seasoning
Shredded cheese
18-20 hard shell tacos
lettuce, salsa, sour cream, jalapeƱos, etc. for toppings

Brown the ground beef, drain if needed, then add the beans, tomato sauce, and taco seasoning and mix all together in the same pan you browned the meat
Stand the shells in a 9x13 dish (this was kind of tricky) and put the filling evenly in all the shells. Top each shell with shredded cheese. And then bake at 400 for 10-12 mins. Voila. Then top them however you wish :)

My variations were that I used only 1 lb of meat, but still a whole can of the beans, tomato sauce, and a whole packet of seasoning. I then only used a box of 12 taco shells.

This is definitely the way we will do Taco Tuesday from now on. Beccahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10264427484677280686noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1649229382546627198.post-90223422635246688642012-02-27T22:25:00.002-06:002012-02-27T22:43:13.198-06:00Craigslist CreeperJust telling this story creeps me out.

I had dealings with a creeper/possible robber, raper, and all the unthinkables I hate to think of.

I posted a classified for my grandmas buffet. The same day, a man responds, interested in knowing when he could come look at it. I checked Levi's schedule to make sure he would be here, and then told the man, Tuesday. This was on Saturday, by the way. He did not respond.

Then Sunday evening, he sends a very lengthy response, about how he would have loved to come and looked at it but he is out of town, but he absolutely wants it and will even go as far to add $30 so I will remove the post from Craigslist and hold it for him. He asked for more pictures of it. He then inquires my name, phone number, and address because he will have to send me a cashiers check and upon my receiving the money we will further discuss arrangements for pick-up.

Mind you, this is him telling me all the proceedings to take place. I am thinking this guy is pushy.

Thank the Lord, I was at my mothers and was giving her a play by play on all this, and she suggested I give him our churches PO box, so he won't have my address. I didn't feel comfortable giving my address, but this genius idea had never even crossed my mind. So, I will give him a PO box and then insist that we deliver to him in a public place. Problem Solved!!

All the while, I am feeling super creeped out, gut feeling. He responds that he is sending the cashiers check via Fedex, so he will have to have my street address.

NO WAY, MR!! I honestly replied, that I didn't feel comfortable giving out my home address, so if he could not send payment to the PO box that I could not do this transaction.

And guess what.....I haven't heard from him since.

My mind was still cooking up stories all evening about how he already knew where I lived and I scare myself with stuff like that all the time. So, lots of prayers for safety and protection went up last night from me and my momma!Beccahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10264427484677280686noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1649229382546627198.post-26939783666078019332010-08-02T23:38:00.006-05:002010-08-02T23:58:38.347-05:00CanicusCane is my go to guy when I want to get out my camera and play. I am still very amateur at this photography thing, and still prefer to shoot on full auto....well most of the time anyway. I do stray from the easy out, time to time.

All my photos are mostly of Cane because Jeffery is at a stage, when the camera comes out, he runs the other way or his face is instantly covered. He has got to get over this. Momma needs more pics of him!

But here are a few of my sweet bum bum just having a time with his markers! That baby loves to color, paint, and marker!! Sometimes he makes it to the paper, hee hee.

This guy is HILARIOUS!! I got the camera, and said, "Show Meemo your face." (that's what he calls me), and this is what I got. I love it!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGKt17dAbjTHda8Q6lImPReA_Ik-KXqC2V-xEdkqS3uUZaRyCvAhwd-Fu9VlBiO7CZB9vAlYlx_KKviZSoT4UPY6ts_xVPl0fgaMUHU2DeXWIJoJ5qjeSfog10PgxqRP4Bx8_THqFv-d8/s320/IMG_2298+copy.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5501041924012796386" />

Goodness, I was blessed with such amazing cuties, with gorgeous eyes.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdhzlslO9Pn74n0XTL2noSoG4kyBoLIl5Z6r9SbVzIyF41hM8q9obt_UgxqKASqolul6Sg-HKA8fdEyY28MLz4obL3Eite2M_2YTcNMUgz5FF0cO9CIboE7AtaM9v050j46rWXksJrx-k/s320/IMG_2299+copy.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5501041929737382946" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHUBQEweaGlzO87jeEBDu3obhIliDgZSKRb9vhd8nlgAajDz95jX6BmDY5ZE8n2Uq2OVFWPfEv97F6O6vizXVqThG_XdOdFI_pHRS1Noy0JtcPad5IwT9YDMOSU-X8uB7lwr-sEJyo5Yo/s320/IMG_2303+copy.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5501041939912066018" />Beccahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10264427484677280686noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1649229382546627198.post-84489996368291747702010-08-01T00:29:00.002-05:002010-08-01T00:34:26.359-05:00MusicMusic, I feel, heavily influences my life! Right now my repeat bands are MGMT, Kings of Leon, and Vampire Weekend. I will put them on the playlist and just listen over and over again. They are my go to music. If the boys start getting whiney or bickerish, I will go turn on the tunes and like magic, all is better. They come a running and we all just start dancing.

Faves at the momento. Vampire Weekend's - Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa. I don't care what is going on at the moment, you are instantly transported somewhere tropical and carefree when this song begins to play!

And MGMT's Money to Burn, it's kind of seductive in it's own way, and makes me just want to sway. Lovee!Beccahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10264427484677280686noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1649229382546627198.post-558392603462955362010-07-26T21:36:00.002-05:002010-07-26T21:41:11.963-05:00ReunionReunion is such a great word! It feels so good to reunite with people you haven't seen in a long time or just not enough.

Levi's class reunion was this past weekend, and I had such a ball. He did too, mind you, but he really came from a great class. He keeps in contact with all of his buddies and I have become close with all of their wives. It is so fun! I loved getting to see Levi remember all the old times with his friends.

It is so important to do these things because it takes you back to a point in your life that seems so long ago, almost like a dream maybe. It's nice to be able to remember and know that it was real. I am soooo looking forward to seeing my old classmates again.Beccahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10264427484677280686noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1649229382546627198.post-83401007325227231432010-04-14T21:07:00.003-05:002010-04-14T21:37:06.464-05:00Going GreenI absolutely love the fact that everyone is more environmentally conscious nowadays!!I have always strived to be as environmentally friendly as I could. In fact, that was my new years resolution, to live as sustainably as possible this year.

Quite frankly, I come by it rather honest though. My grandparents and parents used to always have gardens. One set of grandparents still does, I mean the whole shabang! Their garden is huge and impressive and they are close to 80!! That is what a life of activeness will get ya, good health in your years.

They all always hung out their clothes on the line. It is a great energy saver, which I like the fact that it makes my electric bill smaller more than anything else. I feel it is me doing my part to earn some money.

Levi hates this one, but I wait as long as possible before I kick on that air conditioner. It's windows open and attic fan on. I just tell him to take off some more clothes if he is that hot, in a totally non-risque context. Same in the winter, it's dress warmer around the house and use blankets, however I am more lenient with the heat usage because I am cold natured. Hmmmm, this makes me seem selfish. Maybe I should rethink this one.

These are just a few of the ways that I try to be earth friendly. I even plan to plant an apple tree on Earth Day this year. And believe me, If I could drive an electric car, I sooo would, but I wonder if two car seats would fit in the back of one of those things?

Oh oh, and one of the most important is I never ever ever litter. I can't stand it!!
I was actually traumatized by one of my Granny's when I was younger because after I would finish my Happy Meal or whatever other fast food I had when I was younger would be chucked out the car window. The whole bag!!! I never felt right about that, but never said anything. I mean, we wouldn't even be three miles from the house, and out the window it would go. Come on, wait for a trash can!! Oh Granny, I love ya! (This is not Granny with the garden, by the way :) )

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmI5rCANuhZNT_7abYOSAtYTkMKhQGGAtj8yuVCpVHf-1TgCUGU2MN9GOoF9LtXBGBxftmhHod7Wr7ouMSjesjvOPfwRCB6hAxwGe7UK8shFeUSrqomF6eNFnKU3Qs62uc9Yv3WH3DyQc/s320/IMG_1621+copy.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5460185500455471314" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhe6I-qAFGfIZoPzfZwHT3fUrvM9ixz2IIv6x7eTH468E6yggej6syInC-xictvWHcJVOHq7G1sD3_Lpq0jtTKkY4ljrfCdmNY8pnF541BTVr70-UO_FslTVFCGX-cuSnMOQudM0O1OjR4/s320/IMG_1620+copy.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5460185490348736210" />

This is my little garden. I had so many more things I wanted to plant, but obviously didn't eyeball the size right. Needless to say, this garden is going to grow yet again next year. I never account for all the spacing and hill making that is involved. I also have another spot farther out in the yard that is devoted entirely to watermelon. This will be my first attempt with fruit.Beccahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10264427484677280686noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1649229382546627198.post-40434642390120970302010-03-21T12:36:00.000-05:002010-03-21T12:36:30.200-05:00I Am Momma - Hear Me Roar: "Be" SignI Am Momma - Hear Me Roar: "Be" Sign

I have been wanting to do something similar to this for months now! For one I kept a slower pace this time and focused more on form, than time. I have had a tough time finding motivation to carve out time for running, but it felt so good to go and just do it. I always feel guilty about leaving the kids with Levi or my mom just so I can go run, it feels selfish. I could take them with me, but then there are a million interruptions and I don't feel as accomplished as if I had gone alone. It was a wonderful time alone, to think and pray as I ran.
I can't wait to run again.Beccahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10264427484677280686noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1649229382546627198.post-50376681456065454422010-01-26T12:58:00.002-06:002010-01-26T13:06:58.449-06:00So Holy!OH. MY. GOSH.

This is completely, and utterly ridiculous, and out of hand (or should I say out of foot). Lame joke, I know.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0k8Ty674J846nEBXeiLbIRrYPFI9ppFn7yH93s5k0zQQWwrAAk-ptjNwa-xrlzQ7-zwb3J1C4gx5mQQEcQ_CS7diJ_ZTy7TnRh9ds58Uh_R50esJyVGJt26moxvx3vLAPT-XjQY6PkHU/s320/IMG_0938.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5431125472261602482" />

It's funny, but I am actually known for my holey socks! I just really don't think about buying socks. I mean it literally has to come to this before I realize I need to go purchase myself some more intact socks.

Levi has got on to me so many times for this, I think it really bugs him. My mom used to do the same when I lived at home. Me, I just don't care.Beccahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10264427484677280686noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1649229382546627198.post-54458778831253095922010-01-25T12:54:00.003-06:002010-01-25T13:15:49.550-06:00Creative FlowI have had such an urge of late to be sooo creative. I want to make something. I have so many ideas in my head and just can't commit to doing one. The main reason being money. I have a hard time spending money when it isn't for necessity. I go back and forth with reasons why I should or shouldn't buy the materials I would need at the time. I am a highly indecisive person. Wait, maybe I should say I can make decisions, but it takes a lot of reasoning and changing my mind several times to reach one.

Venture number one is: I want to paint. My cousin made this beautiful door sized abstract canvas painting and I have wanted to do one ever since. I would be starting from absolute scratch though, meaning I would need to purchase a canvas, paints, brushes, and all the other mediums I want to use. This will happen, I just can't bring my self to go on the spree of buying them at this point. Until then I will go crazy with ideas of the colors and looks I am going for. I do have a big bare spot on my wall, this is justification, right?

Venture number two is: I want to make a quilt. I absolutely love sewing. And doing it all by hand is my favorite. I find it so relaxing to sit and sew. I have actually sewn a queen size quilt before by hand, I believe I was in middle school, and I would sew on the weekends at my Granny's house. I loved it so much. I would sit and sew until my hands would literally freeze up like I had arthritis. Maybe I should have rested them before that point, hmmm? Well, material isn't cheap, but my greatest hinderance on this project is my indecisiveness. Which colors? I have some great color schemes in my head, now to pin-point one. Jeffery does need a new lightweight quilt for summer, so there is my justification for this one!

Venture number three is: This one takes no deciding at all. It is in fact a reality that will happen. It is my garden. This isn't much like the before mentioned projects, but is one of my greatest creative expressions, simply because it makes me feel so good to plot it out and dig in the dirt and watch something I have nurtured grow and provide my family with wonderful nutritious food. It is somewhat spiritual to me. I feel so one with the earth when I am working in my garden. The way things look right now, I will not be able to expand it like I wanted this year because I won't be able to get in my cold crops due to my drenched yard, but I look forward to it just the same.

So there you have it. All these creative juices just waiting to be squeezed. All in good time, all in good time!!Beccahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10264427484677280686noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1649229382546627198.post-1667819147789734522009-10-23T20:53:00.002-05:002009-10-23T21:09:39.442-05:00Guardian AngelsAngels were definitely guarding over my little sugarCane a couple of days ago. During naptime I layed him in his crib still a little awake. I heard him fussing in his room and was waiting on him to fall asleep. For some reason when he is in there fussing, I can't do anything but sit and listen for him to go to sleep. I was going to give him five more minutes to see if he would drift off on his own and then go in to get him, but he got quiet. Normally, I would assume that he had fell asleep, but today I felt urged to go in and check on him.

He was sitting on TOP of his dresser that was beside the crib! This dresser is at least 5 ft. tall!! I gasped and rushed over to pull him down to safety. Usually when he is up to no good and I come toward him, he giggles and tries to get away (He loves to be chased), but today he just smiled and sat perfectly still until I reached him.

Oh, the things that could have happened.

1. I had a stack of clothes on top of it that needed to be stored away that he had knocked into the floor. Thank goodness he didn't slip off with them.

2. He sleeps with a fan on that was sitting on top of his dresser. He had it overturned and could have stuck his little fingers in it.

3. This dresser is in front of a window. He could have tumbled that direction or got tangled in the blinds.

Let's just say there could have been a number of catastrophes.

Needless to say, that dresser is now placed clear across the room, nowhere near his crib, and his crib mattress has been lowered as low as it will go.

I truly believe that God had him surrounded with guardian angels and that He was the "urge" that I had to go in and check on him.Beccahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10264427484677280686noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1649229382546627198.post-39397968577100933072009-10-21T21:19:00.003-05:002009-10-21T21:41:12.112-05:00Pumpkin Patch USAThis year we visited a real pumpkin patch with fields of them just waiting to be picked. It was such a fun adventure. We all had a really good time. Last year it was just Levi, Jeffery and myself, but this year little brother was old enough to come with us and so did Michi and Papa. They had just got in the night before from their getaway in Vegas, so the boys were very excited to have them come with us.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwsJVzeOf2xycWJ4kSboLcD5AGSt7xSgUkq1JDDlqo5sVb__APa86DzkvUzmxNJM41gZGYZVT4CrEQ5gZzDf-E1FpXat71J8FQ1kpvPHUFo90RY0Ckb66NnxN8CTtQrvGoSAnRx19NCec/s320/DSCN1117.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5395247313659670994" />
We took a hayride out to the patch.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXw2ieZWVdWWb6G7TDR-IVDPbZRCCoY155TXJczPHQ3Nx5pPzFThPcdrq02DmPdDjdNgSUJYyUyhXpDFlEbZnsbwkRurbZs7yPIZ0S2jv9K-NoUKbnFiHXSKyltRdt_mBiGQJPsg-_hoE/s320/DSCN1118.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5395247318162360418" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfPqNaDUk0AtlQPcwMILsWLoI8wiRJDEzQkfDbYQltbOQV68eVJTJna0o2XdCge76_eeWM6UTuSPmmkCkbL5Vun4ufzpjsarWLjb-IDi4J5blr-Y-4L73imMaDqCKCYA2-6AkN_Ygz1-A/s320/DSCN1120.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5395247320232140530" />
Jeffery picked his out the first minute we were out there so he decided to have a seat.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgnnuZwoW8DiBzc7tKevabs4OL_zpN7RK8fneg4iM6dN5aQ1bG4QNw5EljrZiUen2EiDyNs_E5zDK0H4xUP08WbyAblZDDM6heXFprNSDusVETFwULcWQPpYS1XGZ_Qz-3dzTbsjCcQx4/s320/DSCN1129.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5395247334242190242" />
Cane was going crazy jabbering to all the pumpkins and trying to pick them up.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2ojCDYqw263AFDLNILQVhAPFS4zrthE4yrMeOE8aoJZFl_g4IdWpQk0y3lq2J5mBCcqlISNU64HD1DLBJBvDxz9K35rllrsDHGuz51BbdrEdtxpCbTGqDenJ2fdVbfoZdl64sKFssXy8/s320/DSCN1127.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5395247328224497714" />
More pics to come but I must share computer time for now.Beccahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10264427484677280686noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1649229382546627198.post-39711985035287020582009-10-20T21:33:00.004-05:002009-10-20T21:46:47.095-05:00I Have A GripeMe, griping, NO, I try not to, but I am frustrated and deserve a good gripe. So here goes, I must warn you it is very trivial. I really wanted to start this blogging business, but have not done very much at all with it. Not because I haven't tried mind you. I have spent precious time trying to figure out how to get a cute little background and theme, but can't figure it all out. Plus the lingo on blogging is a bit confusing at times. It didn't take this much effort to make a pretty myspace page and thank goodness facebook doesn't require backgrounds and frills. Plus, I have seen where people pay good money to customize blog backgrounds, I don't understand, I guess unless it is your businesses blog.

Now, the reason I am so frustrated is because I would like to get my blogging underway, and only have few chances in a day (when kids go to bed and husband is not on the computer playing his cursed World of Warcraft)to accomplish this. So, instead of searching aimlessly on how to beautify my page, I would rather be typing.

One more thing that doesn't pertain to this specific gripe. I keep two other handwritten journals, one for Jeff and one for Cane, so most of the time I don't write stories on here because it would be so redundant since I have already written them elsewhere. I would do a couples journal for my life with Levi but feel that would be too personal for me to do. My thoughts now are what are some things I could continually write on here that I don't in my other journals. Ideas are welcome.

While I am at it, I forgot how mad I get when trying to upload pictures on here as well. It only lets me do one at a time and is slow to boot. Or am I just doing it wrong. I am probably my own worst enemy here.Beccahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10264427484677280686noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1649229382546627198.post-23390316110388812682009-09-25T21:53:00.005-05:002009-10-19T22:45:13.736-05:00Zoo DayOn Thursday, my family of four went to the Tulsa Zoo. It was so refreshing to get out on such a nice day and spend it with my favorite people at a fun place. I couldn't have asked for a more go with the flow day. I had a blast and am already trying to plan another trip sometime in October.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgA3rrV7F0x-3PeDenU69aN9UXQLW3I47wMdijXl40QFvRb5P3hoF-siJjl0gu3pmbqxILXGMpgtS1NQkfF2DiDgZR-IkAJu3H8Lhqmi_urm0Eh2R3-9SsS9esWTnHY8kTRdR1VtVm1zmk/s320/DSCN0995.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5394520822810735170" />

Now, normally when we go to places like this, I like to have a plan. "Ok, first we will go here then we will do this and then it will be time to go over here...." and so forth. Which is totally ridiculous, I know. So I mentally told myself before we went, "It's ok if we don't see everything there is to see, and I am just going to follow Jeffery and we will do whatever he wants to do". I only say Jeffery because Cane isn't old enough to make such decisions yet. I want to be a fair mom as much as possible.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSgPktSN8w0803NLOycE73xwAUj38lrEZRT1wnplGThK7768Wx7Vxxd4tCaPckwl_gSGXQehUKiucL0ilzYCRPK_n6IoeWF05bg0aI35GD99lI4KD3ewLjX36M111ShF8grxLzP6niseY/s320/DSCN1025.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5394522006802067458" />

Well, that is exactly what we did. When we first walked in and did our pottying and what not a kind Zoo Lady told us about the hands on exhibit for the kids, so we did that first. Then I figured we could do the carousel, then the train. So we get there and I told Jeff my plan and he said "NOOO, I want to ride the train first!" I was about to start telling him about how if we did the carousel then the train it would work out better because of how I had it mapped out, BUT I didn't. We rode the train. And guess what everything was still just perfect.

Sooooo, "I believe the children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way" ha ha ha. No, seriously though, letting them lead day was a blast because I kind of felt like I was viewing the zoo through his eyes in a way and kids need that afterall, a day now and then where they call all the shots. Within reason, that is.Beccahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10264427484677280686noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1649229382546627198.post-34191269227481689132009-09-12T21:43:00.000-05:002009-09-12T21:55:22.038-05:00Kids Say the Darndest ThingsJeffery has become quite the big boy and is now beginning to spend the night with his Michi and Papa. He used to "spend the night", which involved him packing his bag and going over to spend the evening and then return home when it was bedtime.

But now he stays the entire night. Yea!!

Okay, back to the story at hand. He spent the night with them last night. He did his little nightly routine when he stays there: bath, story, call mom and dad to say goodnight, then lay in bed with Michi and drift off to sleep. Well my mom told me today that while they were lying in bed, Jeffery kept rubbing his eyes (he has had a bit of allergies here lately) and she told him "Stop rubbing your eye buddy, you are going to irritate it." To which he replied, " Meech, it's not "earitated", It's "eyeitated"."

I thought that was just too cute!! I love how little children hear things so literally and they just really give you a brand new perspective on things that you never would have thought. He was dead serious when he said this, so my mother didn't laugh, she just agreed that he was right (but she was really laughing hard inside). It's funny how their precious little ears hear things.Beccahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10264427484677280686noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1649229382546627198.post-71418002336111146582009-09-12T15:17:00.000-05:002009-09-12T15:21:55.619-05:00New at ThisI am new at this blogging business, and am still trying to figure out how to arrange my page and pictures and what not. I don't know how loyal I will be to blogging because I already have three pen and paper journals that I try to keep regularly. After updating all three the other night, I had major hand cramps and wondered if I should just do one journal that covered everybody in the family together instead of separately.

This is where my new blog page comes in. So, we will just see how often I get the chance to write in here. Hopefully it will go well!

And hopefully people care to be my followers!!!Beccahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10264427484677280686noreply@blogger.com0
